      <image:caption>In July of 2017 I decided to make the commitment to get back in shape. I started working out (a body part once per week). I also began “eating clean”. I limited myself to one cheat meal per week otherwise it was chicken and brown rice. I began to notice some small differences with my body composition but it was like watching paint dry - slow and tedious. Also, after 3 months and countless hours in the gym I wasn’t getting much stronger. It was then that I was introduced to Adam. Wanting to believe I knew what I was doing in spite of the slow progress I was skeptical of what he could offer me.  Needless to say it didn’t take me long to believe in this man who is wise beyond his years.  He asked me what my 90 day goal is. I told him I wanted to be at 10 percent body fat. At the time I was at 17%. With that information he developed a workout and nutrition program that constantly evolved on a week to week basis. At the end of the 90 days, I reached my goal of 10% body fat! I haven’t been this lean since high school.  I’ve learned more about fitness and nutrition in the past few months than I had my entire life. Who knew you could work legs more than once a week?! And who would have thought you could eat a bowl of ice cream and not have to feel guilty about it?! That’s the value of what Adam will bring to your new life. He brings a wealth of knowledge about the human body and how it responds to certain conditions. With that knowledge he’s able to provide you with a program that still lets you enjoy the finer things in life.  Having a fitness coach is so much more valuable than having a personal trainer. The trainer sees you maybe 3 times a week for a total of a few hours and that’s it. With Adam’s program, he’s essentially available throughout the entire week and is able to see how you’re doing every day. He’ll be there for you to answer any questions or concerns you may have.  If you’re ready to commit to giving it 110% then you are on your way to a level of fitness you probably didn’t think was possible. All the while, in a way that doesn’t make you starve or do countless hours on the treadmill. I should mention I eat 380 grams of carbs per day! That’s a lot!  If you begin to slide, Adam will be there not only to hold you accountable but also to lift you back up.  It has been a great journey so far with Adam and I can’t wait to see what other goals we can crush!</image:caption>

      <image:caption>I signed up for the Poehlmann Fitness program with Adam to help learn healthier routines for my life and to get past a plateau. It was so easy. All I had to do was track my food and work outs. What I loved most about the program was that I did not have to diet and I still got to eat close to what I was already doing. Adam taught me how to find what my body needed most which was protein. We set a reasonable goal for 100 grams of protein a day. It was super easy to do. All I had to do was make sure that I was getting 7-8 g per meal or snack. I am a big meat eater. It is a goal that has now become a habit! Another thing I loved about the program was that Adam checks in with you weekly. Not just about how you are doing on the program but your highs, your lows, etc. He knows this affects all things so he cares! My goal was to learn healthier habits, and make sure I was working out to the best of my ability during the program. I feel that I have established a much healthier routine for eating and I have pushed myself daily in the gym, especially in strength. The knowledge that Adam gives you in this program will change your life!       <image:caption>I’ve been training with Adam since the beginning of March, this year, and already have the pleasure of getting amazing results! In mid February, I went to Anschutz Wellness Center for a DEXA scan... in order to get baseline data before beginning my training. At that point, I weighed 109lbs with 24.5% of that coming from fat, and 75.5% of that coming from lean muscle and bone. Adam created a training and nutrition plan for me and I committed to following it. Today, after 2 months and 10 days of training with Adam, I went back for another DEXA scan. In this short period, my weight went up to 112.4, but my body fat percentage dropped to 18.7% and my lean muscle and bone went up to 81.3%. That means that I lost 6lbs of fat and gained 9lbs of lean muscle and bone... Doctors recommend weight lifting, especially after 40, to counteract bone density loss and, apparently that’s solid advice!   The downside to all of this is that Adam doesn’t have a secret up his sleeve that will enable to you to get results like this, from your couch, while you eat ice cream and watch TV. The upside is that he has a training app that, in my opinion, helps tremendously with motivation. I think it’s fun entering my training stats (weights, reps, time) into the app and watch myself progress, in terms of strength and endurance. The nutrition tracking app is also incredibly handy for enabling me to stick to my macros. I especially like the functionality that allows me to copy and paste online recipe URLs that the app then breaks down into the correct calories and macros and then logs it for me.       <image:caption>If I could, I'd call this post, "Losing Body Fat Without Losing Your Mind." (I guess maybe I just did.) I told Adam when I started a couple months ago that my goals were to better balance my diet along with figuring out a repeatable workout schedule. As I’ve gotten into my late 40s, it’s been more and more difficult to rely on my once fast metabolism to offset my increasingly sedentary lifestyle. Poehlmann Fitness changed all of that. Adam showed me how to track the foods I ate and what I should be trying to accomplish every day nutritionally. It was quite simple: eat 120g of protein and get two fist-sized servings of greens. That was it. No “don’t eat this” or “can’t eat that.” Just load your body with what it needs and then attack your workouts. Oh, yeah. The workouts. I hadn’t lifted free weights since Ronald Reagan was in office (yes, really), so I was more than a little hesitant to jump into the prescribed workouts. But Adam reassured me I could. And sure, I couldn’t walk or use my arms for the first week, but that was just a sign that I was effectively using muscles I hadn’t been using in a LONG time. After that first week, it became, dare I say…easy. Put in the time and effort, trust the process and the results WILL come. I lost 1% body fat the first month and another 1% percent after the second. I’m thrilled with the results and have no doubts that if I stick with the program, the results will continue on a similar trajectory. Trust Adam to do for you what he easily did for me.</image:caption>

All I had to do was track my food and work outs. What I loved most about the program was that I did not have to diet and I still got to eat close to what I was already doing. Adam taught me how to find what my body needed most which was protein. We set a reasonable goal for 100 grams of protein a day. It was super easy to do. All I had to do was make sure that I was getting 7-8 g per meal or snack. I am a big meat eater. It is a goal that has now become a habit! Another thing I loved about the program was that Adam checks in with you weekly. Not just about how you are doing on the program but your highs, your lows, etc. He knows this affects all things so he cares! My goal was to learn healthier habits, and make sure I was working out to the best of my ability during the program. I told Adam when I started a couple months ago that my goals were to better balance my diet along with figuring out a repeatable workout schedule. As I’ve gotten into my late 40s, it’s been more and more difficult to rely on my once fast metabolism to offset my increasingly sedentary lifestyle. Poehlmann Fitness changed all of that. Adam showed me how to track the foods I ate and what I should be trying to accomplish every day nutritionally. It was quite simple: eat 120g of protein and get two fist-sized servings of greens. That was it. No “don’t eat this” or “can’t eat that.” Just load your body with what it needs and then attack your workouts. Oh, yeah. The workouts. I hadn’t lifted free weights since Ronald Reagan was in office (yes, really), so I was more than a little hesitant to jump into the prescribed workouts. But Adam reassured me I could. And sure, I couldn’t walk or use my arms for the first week, but that was just a sign that I was effectively using muscles I hadn’t been using in a LONG time. After that first week, it became, dare I say…easy. Put in the time and effort, trust the process and the results WILL come. I lost 1% body fat the first month and another 1% percent after the second. I’m thrilled with the results and have no doubts that if I stick with the program, the results will continue on a similar trajectory. Trust Adam to do for you what he easily did for me.</image:caption>
